Dental Emergency
Dental emergency can refer to any dental problem that requires immediate attention in order to prevent further damage or pain. Our Naperville Dentist is here to provide the treatment you need to help with your dental emergency. We always schedule the same day or the next day so that you can get the care you need as soon as possible. Toothache is one of the most common dental emergency that we see at our practice. If you are experiencing a toothache, please give us a call so that we can help relieve your pain.
If you are experiencing a toothache, we will first take x-rays to determine the cause of the toothache and create a treatment plan accordingly. If the toothache is due to a cavity, we will clean out the cavity and fill it with a dental filling. If the toothache is due to an infection (or a dental abscess), we will prescribe antibiotics to help clear up the infection. In some cases, a root canal may be necessary to save the tooth from extraction.
If you have a cracked or chipped tooth, we will first assess the severity of the damage. If the crack is small and does not pose a threat to the structural integrity of the tooth, we may be able to simply smooth it down. If the damage is more severe, we may need to place a dental crown on the tooth to protect it from further damage.
If you have lost a tooth, we can provide a dental implant to replace it. A dental implant is a titanium post that is placed in the jawbone to serve as a replacement for the root of a missing tooth. Once the implant has healed, we will place a dental crown on top of it to complete the restoration.
If you are experiencing any other type of dental emergency, please do not hesitate to contact Naperville Dentist. We will provide the treatment you need to relieve your pain and restore your smile.
